Crystals Mountain, WA-July 4, 2011 will be the second time in the history of Crystal Mountain skiers and snowboarders will be able to celebrate Independence Day in the snow. Mt. Rainier and the Green Valley Gondola will be open for skiing 2 to 4 July.

More than 600 inches of snow has fallen since Kristal opened November 19, 2010, breaking the previous record of 598 inches of snow. Located in the 1999 season, a record the only other time the slopes open on July 4.

Ski lift tickets to be reduced to $ 35. The base area will host a barbecue and live music. Kristal plans to open the following weekend, July 9 and 10, but the operation then to July remains to be determined.

Crystal mountain is now open every day for a beautiful gondola ride, mountain top dining and sightseeing. Guided horse tours begin on July 2.
